About Chery Alado Automobile Sdn Bhd
On 18th April, 2008, a joint venture agreement was signed
between Chery Automobile Co Ltd of China and Alado Corp
or Malaysia, making Chery Alado Automobile the sole
distributor for the Chery brand of vehicles in Malaysia. This
includes manufacturing, assembly and distribution, along with
sales and aftersales service support activities.
Chery Alado Automobile’s major shareholders are Chery
Automobile Co Ltd and Alado Corp, while 20 percent is owned
by Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT).
Chery Alado Automobile have to date sold over 2000 units ,
while Chery currently exports more than 130K vehicles yearly,
to over 70 countries, and plans to hit 400K by 2010.
Chery Alado Automobile has 42 dealers and 25 service
centres, which offer 24-hour breakdown service, as well as a
full range of spare parts that are claimed to be reasonably
priced.
