We have featured
this car before, twice,
in
cars.my magazine.
The first time was
because we were
bowled over by the
gorgeous paint work
(a dazzling red) and
impressive detailing.
The second time was
when the owner
(Paul, right)
converted the doors
to gullwing ones, by
himself!

Since then, we have
not heard from Paul,
who covers great
distances in his cars,
in his line of business
(medical supplies).
Then, we got a call
from him, inviting us
to check out his TT.

The little Audi coupe
has undergone a
complete repaint, with
the previous coat
ground down to the
primer. The job was
done by someone
Paul describes as an
'artist'. The job took a
month and a half, and
the result can best be
described as
Stunning!
MONEY WELL SPENT?
The colour, which does not have a name as it is a special blend exclusive
to Paul, has the ability to make the car change tone depending on which
angle you are looking at and the intensity of the light.
The attention-to-detail extends to hard-to-reach places,
leaving the car looking like it has got a factory paintjob. Even
the grille, engine cover, and also the leather door trim get a
matching coat.
Paul's TT still can claim to have
the most unique exhaust
pipes among all Audi vehicles.
He made them himself.

For details of the spray paint
artist who is responsible for
this, as well as anything you
want to know about the Audi
TT, contact Paul at 012 288
1300.

Paul is also very
knowledgeable about the
polishing and waxing of cars.
"I spent
between RM15K
to RM20K every
year on my car.
I consider it
money well
spent as I do
not gamble or
smoke, and
have none of
the usual vices.
Plus, I drive this
car a lot, and
very hard. I find
it hard to
replace it with
anything else."
How much would you be willing to spend on your set of wheels, aside from the usual maintenance cost?

A few hundreds for a polish-and-wax job? A few more for a bodykit? Or a couple of thousands for a hi fi upgrade, or better wheels? Another
couple of thousands for a suspension mod?

How about RM7000 for a paintjob? As well as a bit more for a new rear screen so that the trim matches the new look?

The owner of this Audi TT considers it money well spent.
